F A Q's and Date of Install Info.

Q: How long does concrete curbing last?

A: With a little care and maintenance concrete curbing will last many years. Moisture is the primary enemy of any concrete structure, therefore prevention of water retention will aid in the life of your curbing. We seal all of our colored curbing with a commercial-grade acrylic sealer. Periodic re-sealing once a year will help assure a long and healthy life and vibrant colors for your concrete curbing.

Q: How long does the process take and how much damage is done to my lawn?

A: Depending on the landscape and footage of the installation, the complete process normally takes only one day. As far as damage to the property, we carry and mix all our products on-site in a special trailer built for this. No heavy vehicles or equipment of any kind will come on the property.  Standard equipment used will be the actual curb machine and wheelbarrow for the cement.

Q: Will the curbing crack?

A: All concrete will crack. Our concrete is mixed to precise specifications. To control cracking, we install control joints at approx.. 2 feet apart. We also install fiber mesh and other additives in the mixing process of the concrete to assure strength.

Q: Is there a metal bar or wire in the curb?

A: No there is not. With the additives, we utilize there is no need for supportive metal inside our curbs. Should the unfortunate frost heave occur our curbs will adjust themselves in one location rather than pulling from further down the line. This allows for simpler repositioning should they come out of line

Q: Can I afford this?

A: You will be surprised how inexpensive our product is when you compare it to other alternatives. There are certainly “cheaper” landscape edging products available, but none, which compare in the quality, beauty, and longevity of concrete curbing. Our curbing is a great value and we have a product for every budget.

Q: There will be curbing placed around my home, how will water escape?

We cut drain locations into the curb to allow for drainage. This is the only guaranteed way we can prevent water backup around your foundation.

Q: My curb has become damaged, are you able to fix it?

If your curb experiences damage or if someone stepped on it before it had set, we have to bring the same equipment and crew despite the size so a minimum fee may be applied. It is also important to know that when preforming repairs to the curb it is difficult if not impossible at times to give a perfect match. There will almost always be a noticeable difference from the original and the new.

Q: Does the curbing have a warranty?

A:  We provide a 1-year workmanship warranty. Because this type of concrete cures so fast any issues that will commonly occur will normally be in the first 24 hours. Spider cracks are a concrete issue that can and may occur. We will work with you to try and determine the cause of the damage and should we feel that it may have been caused by an installation error we will fix or replace it at our discretion.  Cracks and chips that occur due to vehicles, heavy mowers, natural occurrences such as tree roots, ground heaving, etc. will not be covered under warranty.
